Hi Mr. Su,

I know that you are going to write about lululemon's story. Having lived in Vancouver for 10 years from 1994-2004, I have seen the growth of yoga industry and lululemon initial growth period. I first visited lululemon's first store in Vancouver in early 2003 when I started to take yoga lessons.

Most Taiwanese textile industry see lululemon coming out from nowhere, but forgetting the west coast (of N. America) health-conscious lifestyle and social movements. It was during the late 90's and early 2000's that smoking bans in pubs/bars/clubs were implanted. It was during that period staying fit and staying healthy brought the attention of the general public. Cycling lanes, reducing vehicle gas consumption and all that support the movements leading to lululemon's then niche but now mainstream market.

Having been a share holder of lululemon since it went public at Nasdaq in 2007, I've followed closely to its expansion and how lululemon grew towards an "international" brand. At this moment, lululemon's market sales is still North American heavy. Having considered the social differences in Europe and Asia, it is not surprising to know that "culture and lifestyle" has played a heaving part in this.
